To pick data from a database, use the SELECT statement. The data is saved in a result table known as the result-set.
In a WHERE clause, the LIKE operator is used to look for a certain pattern in a column. There are two wildcards that are frequently used with the LIKE operator: The percent sign (%) can be used to represent zero, one, or more characters. One single character is represented by the underscore sign ( ).
Wildcards can be used in the WHERE clause of a SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE statement with the MySQL LIKE condition. This gives you the ability to match patterns.
Inserting one or more rows into a database table with specified table column values is done with the insert command. The insert statement is the first DML instruction run once a table is created.
